GOP Debate

Last night, the GOP Debate was pretty interesting.  The format was a hoot, considering CNN was teamed up with the TEA party in a wedding of nessecity.  The way they introduced the candidates like they were pro-wrestlers was kind of sad, but I did like the Tea party crowd and their heated applause during the answers.
I think Romney has changed tactics.  He was trying to stay above the fray, and soldify his position, but now that he is clearly not the frontrunner anymore, he will try to do everything possible to tear Perry down.  Bachmann is in the same camp, and went over the edge last night using everything imaginable to damage Perry.  This isn't pretty, but it is what primaries are all about.  I like Newt, Cain, and Santorum.  They all have useful things to contribute, and help make the whole thing more interesting.
Overall, I would have to say that even with everyone ganging up on Perry for the second debate in a row, he has gotten better about holding his own.  There where several things that came up last night that might prevent his poll numbers from skyrocketing thru the stratosphere, but he definitely maintained his frontrunner status, and helped define himself more in his relatively new campaign.
I really like these debates.  I had always wished that they had more of them, and this year it seems like there is one every week or two.  They are fun and interesting, and I feel like they give me a better insight into how these candidates are going to perform in office.
