Smoke gets in Mitt’s guise - BostonHerald.com

Smoke gets in Mitt’s guise - BostonHerald.com

I love in this article when it says "the response form the base is - can we vote for him twice??"

Et tu ...National Review???

I can't believe what a gossip rag National Review has turned into!!

They have gone from being a serious policy magazine to being a place to dish about rumors from 2 decades ago.

It is such a let down to see serious people who normally have critical opinions turn into shills for the Romney campaign.

They are selling out.

Superbowl 2012

The Super Bowl matchup has been determined for this year, and strangely it is the same matchup as four years ago:

The New York Giants versus The New England Patriots.

I still see the Giants as the underdogs, even though they won last time.  The Patriots really are the Evil Empire.  If the Giants win again, it will be on the strength of Eli Manning's arm.  They have a strong running game, but its just not a very consistent one.  The Patriots have Brady, and a big running back committee, and they just seem to roll over every opponent.  I hope the Giants win again, and then they can take the ironic nickname as GiantKillers!!!

Right to Life

Today is a day for everyone to remember and pray for all the children who have lost their lives in our country's 4 decade run of abortion.

As more people are learning about human development, and getting to see ultrasounds, there is a growing public movement to address this morally disgusting practice.  Hopefully more people find mercy in their hearts, and decide that we are better then this.

What country can be called civilized when they allow their own children to be murdered in exchange for sexual promiscuity?

The Fight for Florida

And the battle is joined......   The fight for the Florida primary begins.  Florida is a closed primary which is a bonus to Gingrich, since all the undeclared voters who normally go to Romney and Paul will not be able to participate.  Romney has the money and organization advantage, and has already been targeting early voters, but we've seen how quickly his lead can vanish.  The biggest strength in Gingrich's corner is recent Florida voting history.  They have been throwing out moderates like Crist, and electing conservative reformers like Scott, Marco Rubio, and Allen West.  This shows that the mood in the state is not for the status quo, but to begin the major reforms that we need if we ever hope to get back on track.  This works to Newt's advantage, and gives him the real chance of two big wins in a row.

Interesting Debate

This was a good debate tonight.

Mitt came out the gates swinging against Newt.  I found myself wanting Newt to take a stronger stand against him, but the attacks really seemed to fall flat.  He delivers them in such a technocratic way with lists and numbers and statistics, it just seems to have less passion, and more a file downloaded into his database.

In the spin after the debate, everyone seemed to think Romney looked desperate.  That is true, but I also think he came off looking entitled.  Like he is supposed to get the nomination, and how dare anyone stand in his way.  He is not making his case that he should get elected, and I think he is driving away more voters.

Newt Wins!!!!!!!

Newt Gingrich wins a decisive victory in South Carolina, by pulling off a 22 point swing in the space of 5 days.

This move is an indication of the GOP base's lack of confidence in it's establishments inability to create any positive movement on the most important topics of the day.

Watch the knives come out against Newt over the next 9 days as all the GOP establishment goons compete to see who can be the first to torpedo real reform.
